Maverick
Hi All, Even though I have plonked down the deposit on the JVC DLA HD1 I am still keeping my options open for the time being as my HD1 will not be turning up till April at the earliest. So with that in mind I am wondering if anyone here has actually purchased and received a Panasonic PT-AE1000? If so what are your thoughts on it? I know that Panasonic have a bad rep with customer service and the last few projectors they have released have had their share of problems but this beasty seems to be pretty well spec'd for the money and Projector Central have given it a pretty good rap. I would like to hear from real world users though as to me that is the true test of a PJ's worth. Cheers Mav

If my in-for-repair AX100 isnt remedied by a simple firmware update, this will be my last ever Panasonic product ever. Personally I'd be looking at the Mits 5000 meself. However, if you can afford it mav, stick with the JVC. I so wish I could afford one.

Cheers Mav the price quoted on projectorsale is $6041 and 6450 at justprojectors at these prices its made JVC hd1 a really good buy. I am about to take the plunge but exercising some restraint here. Got till Friday to decide before the offer deadline.

Maverick
There is no hope j/k Absolutely agree with you on this one Norpus, it would have to come in at a street price of under 5K and closer to 4K to remain competitive in this market range.
