CAVX
Can this ratio be applied to a plasma display and be meaningful or is that a completely different kettle of fish? Slightly OT but relevant. I would say yes to that question... Mark

sm0241
Back home in Ireland I projected an old Epson EMP-S1H onto a wall approx 2M wide from about 4M with the viewing distance being a further 1.3M back which gave a total viewing distance of just over 5M. I never had a problem with it and thought it was big enough, it would probably be the equivalent of a 100" 16:9 screen if I had one. Here in Australia I've ordered a 100" cinemascope screen along with a 2nd hand Epson TW700. The viewing distance will be roughly the same as the projector distance in this case which will be around 4M-4.5M (which is almost perfect). Ideally I would like to be a bit further back but my bedroom won't allow this.
