Ntsc And Pal Versions Of Hd-dvd?

Recommended Posts

Sorry to have created such a mountain out of a molehill. I was merely asking whether the question needed an entire new thread. There are plenty of existing threads (including stickies) where the question could have been posed that would have been more appropriate. I understand not wanting to go through a 70 page thread to find one piece of information, but please post responsibly

Which basically means the person who replies to the thread is expected to do all the hard work for the lazy so and so?

Stupid rule.

Not a rule, just a guideline.

As much as I, like you, hate seeing the same questions posted over and over, and cannot abide laziness, I still try to point people towards the correct answer by suggesting they use the search engine but give them an example. For newbies, the forum can be a bit daunting when starting out. Well it was for me.

The forum is here to help people and we should make our best efforts to do so by educating useage. That doesn't mean spoon feeding just helping. IMHO.

And as Ozcal so correctly points out, don't respond if you don't want to.

Also... search using "+PAL +NTSC +toshiba +play" selecting the Home Theatre Systems sub-forum to minimize the return and you will find your answer regarding the Toshiba HD-A1
That doesn't work for me. Could you please post the result you get?

Your probably doing something silly like actually including the quotation marks...

Try again, and tell me if that is what you did wrong... it works for me otherwise every time!

2nd or 3rd response from memory is the answer that they were after!!!

I still have problems with the "search' function at this site

I have found it easier sometimes just to google it

"subject" + "sub section" + "DTV Forum"

All I can say, if you don't want to help, just ignore the thread or post

Heaven knows a lot of "senior" members have posted a lot of stupid threads, why jump on a newbie if they can't find what they are looking for and start a new thread as a consequence.

Also, if some of the BR marketing bozos didnt fill this sub forum with pointless analyists threads and the BR machine is the victor crap, the search function would probably be easier to use. Cause and effect people!

Oh, you mean like this.

Too right.
And all these posts are certainly not helping!!!
Are you saying you wished you hadn't started all this?
