Durazing
Are you upgrading? Interesting info regarding the local warranty. Are you saying they were allowing local registration and warranty support for japan sourced projectors but now they are not ?

norpus
Why are you selling it?please PM me as for some reason the board is not letting me PM you. thanks I would guess upgraditis, with the jvc hd1 something to do with it - pure speculation of course This is a very nice 1080p pj guys - unless you have a batcave dark dedicated room for the jvc, this hc5000 may be as good as most would want (and cheaper too)

Thudd1503560234
I saw a HC5000 running during the week. Maybe the jvc is a better PJ than this one, maybe it isn't. What I do know is that the Mitsi throws a very nice picture that you'd be hard pressed to be unhappy with.

djOS
Having viewed NB's HC5000 in person, I can tell you that it produces the best PQ of any LCD Projector I have ever seen, bar none. Panel Alignment et all is spot on, any buyer would be very happy with this unit installed into their HT. It looks particularly nice hooked up a HD DVD or BluRay player but the big feature is what it's HQV ReonVX video processor does with normal DVD's!!! Stunning is the right word methinks. I believe that's what they call damning with faint praise. But seriously, I know you've seen many PJ's, so that's quite an excellent recommendation. I also know Samhain thinks quite highly of this PJ as well. I've actually considered getting one for while I'm over here but unfortunately job security is pretty lacking atm so I'll have to pass it up. LOL, the only thing stopping me from Buying any 1080p Projector atm is money - right now Im trying very hard to scrape together enuf cash for an upgrade to a HD-XE1. Maverick
but unfortunately job security is pretty lacking atm so I'll have to pass it up. It is pretty scarey after the age of 40 in the IT industry, you never have job security once that age is reached. I used to think I was pretty secure but times are definitely changing and not for the best. I and my colleagues are hoping to get 3 more years before they chop us, then I guess it will be time to find a nice little coffee shop to own.
