-Bishop-
Not sure I'm totally over the show itself, but I'm over the promotion and promises surrounding it, and perhaps how slow it moves when you have to sit there and wade though the commercials each week. Stuff like the whole, you can't miss the first 5mins, this episode will show you this or that, and just generally seven beating up something that has yet to answer any major questions, and just continues to ask more. To speculate, so far this season you just know certain things will happen, it's following the same pattern it has since the start now, basically they will introduce more people, show more flashbacks that go nowhere, and kill off more people for dramatic effect, in between people will kiss, fight and generally have deep meaningful conversations that again go nowhere, and mean nothing. And this is just guessing here, I have always tried to stay spoiler free on this show, but I'm over that now, this is really just a show that is made up as they go, 3 years later and they have been on that island like 60 days?, the actors actually 'look' older, and it's making the flashbacks embarrassing to watch! As it stands after tonight show, I'm done, maybe I'll watch the show by other means, if only so it only wastes 40 mins of my life and not an hour. I had more to **** about, but I barely even know where to start, I have never know a show to be so interesting, yet at the same time pointless and frustrating, I had a bad feeling it was going no where like two episodes into season two, now it's season three and they have proven it... Don't blame the show - blame Seven and their moronic advertising. Lost is NOT a show that promises "answers". That is simply not the point of the show at all, and those who get sucked in by Seven's idiotic "all will be revealed" advertising are just going to be disappointed. To speculate, so far this season you just know certain things will happen, it's following the same pattern it has since the start now, basically they will introduce more people, show more flashbacks that go nowhere, The flashbacks - a regular part of pretty much every episode and intrinsic to the show's format - NEVER "go nowhere". and kill off more people for dramatic effect Nope. There is always a point.

Thudd1503560234
basically they will introduce more peopleHow can they introduce more people? Aren't they supposed to be stranded on an island or something? Or is it a bermuda triangle for passing airliners and the population keeps getting topped up?And what was the big deal about the first 5 minutes? I don't watch the show, obviously, and am wondering what could be such a big reveal in the very beginning of a new series.

Very dramatic. And great sound!

Steve C
Steve, where have you been, It must be footy time again? I've been Lost! Bloody island! I can't get off it... forced to work, punished for lusting after a babe; and knowing full well that some cruel bastard of an author could twist the plot at any moment! Lost beats the crap out of shows I can remember; like the Andy Griffiths Show, The Dick Van-Dyke Show or Mary Tyler-Moore Show. People who don't like 'Lost' are probably jealous fans of 'Heroes'. They know that 'Lost' is how 'Heroes' could have been if it was actually made for mature thinking audiences.
Hypnotoad1503559952
I think the 3 episodes since they have returned from the break after S03E06 have been fantastic. They have really hooked me back into the show when my interest had been waning. However, given the ratings slide in the US since they changed its timeslot I think Lost's days are numbered unfortunately. I hope they get to complete this season and season 4 and can wrap everything up in that timeframe, although there is talk of a Lost movie after the series finishes which would apparently solve all the mysteries. Eth Nick
I'm getting back into it, more than ever. I lost interest toward the end of series 1, but caught up with the late night replays that were shown, just in time for series 2, which got better & better. I'm hanging out for the answers in this show as much as I was for the X-files.
Milorad
Thanks, but I'm not that interested Gotta love the occasional guy who does this kind of thing.... "Hi I don't watch the show, but the advertising for it really sucked me in... well, not enough to watch the episode, but MORE than enough to post on a forum about it, so that I can eventually tell everyone how little I actually care" does this sort of conflicted conversation actually happen in your head too? does your left arm block your right arm when you try and punch yourself out? No reply... Maybe he resolved his conflict, and the right arm conquered the left. "Lost" - as one could say.
Thudd1503560234
Gotta love the occasional guy who does this kind of thing.... No, the advertising didn't suck me in, I wanted to know why a show would put what they claimed was a big reveal in the first 5 minutes rather than the end - I wonder how many people switched over after the first ad break. And I wasted less minutes of my life asking that question than watching it to find out - or than you did getting worked up about it and replying

If you don't follow the show it's hard to explain. But like everything in this show, if one get's one question answered, two or more come in to take it's place. The first 5 minutes explains a lot of things in Season 1 and 2 but introduces a whole new plot shift in Season 3. Very clever really. IMHO.
