gooi
Oops! Here is what I wanted to ask first time around. I have Optima HD 72 DLP projector which means mounting wont be easy. I just bought and mounted an LP morgn(82") motirised screen with a generous black drop which means I have some flexibility there vertically and horizontally(with the sliding mount brackets), but for all that I do pretty much have a set position in mind (about 700mm off the floor and in the middle of some french doors. Thhe PJ has a large offset angle of about 32-37 degrees which is luckily not an issue with my 3 meter ceillings even though the length of the room is only about 3.7m. According to the calculator I could ceilling or wall mount given my room and screen dimensions ,with the Pj coming down abot 800mm from the ceilling. So I ask you if anyone can recomend a mounting solution that is easy for DLP (ie no lense shift), reasonably priced and elegant in design (hiding cables from the ceilling would be nice. Im keen to get on with it but am not sure which way too go. Any advice would be really helpfull. cheers.

So I ask you if anyone can recomend a mounting solution that is easy I always find mounting from behind with a slap on each cheek relatively easy... Im keen to get on with it but am not sure which way too go. Steady there tiger. Different strokes for different folks and all that... mgrobins
LP Morgan Skyhook (I think that's its name...) I looked at this for my place because it has an adjustable length pole (might be up your alley Preacher ) that runs the cables down the centre. The mounting bracket may be reversed to fit inside the ceiling so that only a single hole for the pole is required/visible. I don't have time to find a link and pic at the moment sorry.... just thought i'd mention the model so you could look it up. I think it's kind of expensive though...... could probably custom build one with stainless or .car exhaust tubing for a better price with identical outcome
