Hosko
Main Event? So they plan on PPV AFL? Perhaps not, They put it there because its available and its easy to lock out an entire state so only nsw and queensland subs can view it for free. CCF
Main Event? So they plan on PPV AFL? Nah it'll act as another sports channel for Friday night games ONLY... and I think it's only in the case of Sydney Swans matches. Every so often, Main Event hosts sporting events which are free... I guess this is just another option to avoid delays when Rugby League, Rugby Union and any other sport is being played live of a Friday night
jokiin
They have done this previously also, last year one round of the Moto GP was shown on the Main Event channel, only because the other sports channels were busy showing other live sports (cricket, football, can't remember exactly) they still had a Fox sports logo showing it was just on the Main Event channel due to all the live events being on at the same time, nothing to do with paying for it. Yeah that is correct - they are using main event to show live AFL into NSW and QLD only on Friday nights because 7 and 10 didn't want that ratings nightmare. Like you said they can then lock main event to other states, where the game will be shown delayed (and live in some cases - like in Darwin) on channel 7.
