already been posted, but it cracks me up every time I see it.

Andrew.

If its already been posted then why rehash it. I know you dislike Sony and BR but its getting a bit overcooked. This is not intendedto be a fanboy type retort but fair crack...

fair crack indeed.

I didn't repost it, Versus did, and I was merely pointing out that it had already been posted a couple of times.

Nothing against you Andrew so dont take it the wrong way. I just get sick of the format bashing on this forum.

Fair enough.

I'm not actually attempting to bash the BD format in this thread.

The intent was to open people's eyes and give some background on Sony's questionable business ethics.

Look when i become a BR owner next month i will still respect HD DVD because i think its an ace format and has so much going for it. Its just that i had to pick a side to own.

Mmmm, no I didn't actually. That said, I found it funny. But certainly not bashing the format. I'm going to buy a PS3 myself.

lol, sorry dude.

I flick back through the history and saw the post where you quoted the original poster.

Guess I'm guilty of the same thing as I was accusing Chesty of.

Can we all please go back to bashing Sony now

Andrew.

I would be more inclined to think this was something that some retailer had done, not Sony, doesn't look good for them of course but not something they would direct their own people to do.

nah see the whole thread has been dragged off topic now.

go back and look at the original link.

nothing to do with the xbox 360 dressed up as a PS3.

its about Sony paying a marketing company to set up a website/blog posing as a group of teenagers trying to raise cash to get a PSP for christmas.

also talks about them paying people to post positive 'user reviews' on blogs etc.

Andrew.

Yes, saw that but that's just poor marketing, the second link was implying it was also a Sony plan gone wrong which to me didn't seem to be the case, this story seems to support that http://www.theage.com.au/news/biztech/reta...1405415017.html

The plot thickens.

Based on the pictures, I assumed it was just a mock-up, but now it seems it actually had a display device attached running content. No matter how you try to explain it away, that is deceptive.
