Some Help With Taps

Im looking for a tap that in the Timer settings window instead of showing Channel info, it shows the Program that is being Recorded. ie not show Ten Digital but show House or not ABC TV but Show the West Wing.

1 Is it possible ?

2 If so what is the Name of the Tap or a Link to it.

Andy's PBK does this, as does my timer_extend.

And all these type of questions are answered in the sticky thread "all questions answered" related to the Topfield (or is it just called the FAQ these days?).

Sorry I must be missing where in timer extend where I can change Channel info for Program info.

I have looked at www.tapworld.net but I dont know what words to use in search and find what I need. It does not like to many words in the search, Tryed " show Program info not Channel info " without luck.

You need to apply some basic search methodology, RM. You don't start with the eqivilent of "I'm looking for a Topfield Application that provides the channel name in the filelist menu, preferably using blue fonts. What do you have?" Instead, start short and then narrow your criteria. So, maybe just "channel" and see what pops up. There's only about 70 TAPs anyway so I'd recommend just picking a category (eg EPGs) and reading through all the descriptions - you'll discover lots of things you probably haven't thought of.

That said, in the case of the functionality you're looking for its doubtful its even mentioned on tapworld. Many functions in TAPs are incidental features writters put in that have little to do with the core TAP.

PS If you are manually typing in timer names PBK can help automate this as can DirLister (providing automatic capitalisation)

PPS Timer extend provides a box at the bottom of the Filelist that shows the name of the show currently selected as you scroll around. PBK updates all names in the filelist to display the channel or program name while you scroll around.

Just try Progress Bar Keys... it does exactly what you want.
