Jus1503561049
Hi Guys, I'm very pleased to announce that Ben and I have finalised a deal with one of the vendors we have been negotiating with and the end result is a very, very good price for all involved, contingent on a minimum order of 10 units, NO LESS! Rather than repeating all the purchase particulars that the vendor has provided simply email me at justin_d@exemail.com.au and I'll send a reply with all the relevant information attached as supplied by the vendor. I won't quote the fantastic price online but I will say our purchase price is now a further 2.5% 'ish less the RRP which equates to an additional saving of $206 on the previous firm price Ben and I gave out to several members that had emailed us. Just to clarify for all those that have not followed the power buy from the start, the 2.5% reduction is in addition to the very substantial % discount over RRP we had previously confirmed. Also we have been promised that any power buy member will receive replacement lamps for the HD1 AT COST for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. This will be stipulated on your purchase invoice to avoid any potential hassle later on. I don't believe there will be a restriction on quantity either so within reason it should be ok to purchase a lamp or two just prior to the end of the 2 year period which should see you out until the upgrade bug eventually raises its ugly head. The email you will receive from myself or Ben will detail all that you will need to know. If anyone has any technical questions that relate to the unit I would only be too happy to assist, might as well put the 4 months and thousands of posts I've read on AVS to good use. If the answer happens to elude me at the moment I'm sure I can dig it up for you with a little time. Once again a thankyou to all for participating and lets make this happen. I would like to point out that myself and Ben pay the EXACT SAME purchase price as offered to you all. As such all I ask in return for the all the work myself and inparticular Ben who initiated the power buy have done is that the members who are 100% ready to buy pay your deposits ASAP so we can meet the 10 unit requirement, after that it's happy days for all that wish to jump on board before the deadline. Cheers, Jus.

Thanks Justin for the new thread. While WE understand the above. Some may be a little confused. What Justin is saying while the rrp is $8995.00. Our first discounted buy price is much less than the rrp. The NEW discounted buy price has a further reduction of about 2.5%. We and everyone on the powerbuy is happy with that! Deposits are required by no later than 2nd March to be entitled to the special price. You can email Justin as stated or myself. I am back online now. ben1809@bigpond.com Thanks
Jus1503561049
Thanks Ben for the additional post, I did edit my first post but the further clarification on your part will make it much easier for the average Joe to jump on the forum and understand where the buy price is at straight away. Gino, I've tried hard to find the RRP for a replacment lamp, I know I've read a US MSRP over on AVS but I'll be damned if I can find it again. As a comparsion the last 3 D-ila machines from JVC have all used a mercury based UHP lamp at or around the 200w mark. Projectisle show a RRP of $780 for all 3 lamps in fact the HX-2 and HD2K utilise the exact same lamp. I suspect the lamp cost for the HD1 would be in line with the above, not forgetting we will be able to purchase at cost . Gino if you like I'll ask Jenny what the cost price for the HD10K lamp is, this should give us a ball park figure. JVC state 2000hrs with regards lamp life, however I would take that with a grain of salt as light output would have fallen off by as much as 50% by 1000hrs most probably sooner. At least with the UHP lamps they have a more linear roll off where as the Xenon short arc lamp used in the Ruby for example drops off very significantly in the first 100 hrs and maintains a gradual decline thereafter. I hope this helps you Gino. Cheers, Jus.
