Channel 10 Perth might air this match, but at this stage it seems unlikely. Note, the first 6 rounds are confirmed by the AFL, and the other rounds are based on the AFL 2007 games schedule for AUSTAR/FOXTEL Stats: By State: VIC: 22/22 in HD NSW: 18/22 in HD WA: 18/22 in HD SA: 17/22 in HD QLD: 10/22 in HD By Team: Sydney: 8 Collingwood: 5 Adelaide: 4 St. Kilda: 4 West Coast: 4 Western Bulldogs: 4 Brisbane Lions: 3 Essendon: 3 Richmond: 3 Hawthorn: 2 Melbourne: 2 Geelong: 1 Port Adelaide: 1 Carlton: 0 Fremantle: 0 Kangaroos: 0 Hopefully this has been of some help, and i will update when further broadcasting details are made available Chears, Minch
Felix..
Well being a Swannies supporter here in Perth I'm pretty darn happy to watch my team play in HD three times in the first 6 rounds albeit with various degrees of delay. But the Swans traditionally play a lot of Saturday games so I guess this is to be expected. How are you feeling about Rd 1 there minchip? Are the Weagles going to put up a good showing at Telstra Stadium?
minchjp
How are you feeling about Rd 1 there minchip? Are the Weagles going to put up a good showing at Telstra Stadium? I think it will be close, but to be honest i think sydney will win. Revenge is a powerful motivator (as i'm sure you found out last year).

digitalj
http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&...rticleid=314167 You've confused me, but I think you'll find it's live to all states, e.g 1:30 in SA is 2:00 in NSW, so even though it looks like NSW has a half hour delay, it is technically the same time. I'm not sure what level of maths the people on the AFL website did, but I think they need to redo the course. Of course I don't blame you minchjp. Trigg
http://www.foxtel.com.au/209_5804.htm For the first time FOXTEL and AUSTAR will show games involving Adelaide, Brisbane Lions, Fremantle, Port Adelaide, Sydney Swans and West Coast Eagles Football Clubs live in their home markets in selected rounds when playing either home or away. Lucky I'm a Collingwood supporter living in Perth In addition to its games coverage, FOX SPORTS will produce four weekly AFL programs: On the Couch, AFL Teams and The Winners, continuing the outstanding success on FOXTEL’s former FOX Footy Channel; and new show Before the Bounce on Fridays. Good to see some of the old Favourites back FOX SPORTS have committed to carrying AFL content every day of the week including a 3 game block on Saturdays with two live games and a replay. AFL everyday - gotta love that!

Felix..
Cool! 8/22 Syndey games in HD with at least 7 of them to be broadcast in WA. C'mon TEN surely you would have to show the Sydney v Pies R12 game in Perth which is usually one of the games of the round if not the year. I think they will give up their Sat arvo game the previous week, and just do two HD games on successive Saturday nights of the split round. Can see a few games being recorded in HD on PVR's for retailers pushing 1080p displays no word yet on a HD-DVD or BR copy after the game and being an Eagle supporter I will get every one cheers laurie
MattWinter
Thanks a lot for that minchjp, it's a bit annoying that because of people being desperate to watch their local team on FTA, states will miss out on several matches being in HD... Can't wait to see how it looks though.
Eth Nick
Yeah thank god channel 10 are offering some games in HD. I just watched some of the Essendon vs All Stars game on ABC2 last night (576i) & my eyes are still sore. Seven wont be much better I guess? anthonysimilion
It may be better than ABC2, since ABC2 is running off ~4.5Mbit/s, and Seven SD is ~6.5Mbit/s.
