GoldCoaster
Hi, I am after a s cheapy HTinBox style dvd player and have come across a Yamaha DVX-301 (i think) and on sale cheap as it is an old model. I had a Sony DAVs htib and suited us fine except it didn't play recorded disks , payed about $1400 and later $280 for a new laser, the eject is broken now so time for a replacement. I bought a philips one a few weeks back but returned it after two weeks - shocking quality and poor ability to read any disks. I friend has said that he has had three Yamaha dvd players and all have failed just after warranty - has any one had this happen to them. Are Yamaha as a brand OK, they used to be years ago. cheers, - GoldCoaster

cloneboy
My parents have the newer version of this and it is pretty good considering the price. I'd be happy to reccomend it for those on a budget.
