Zubiz1503560776
Finally after 2 weeks I have finally gotten it out of the box and set up my new sub. I have set it up with an spl meter and set my crossover in my 2700 to 80 but am wondering were the freq nob should be set on the sub itself or is it irrelevant due to the fact that a crossover is set it the the 2700. I have it currently at about 1/2 way and sounds good, will sound better once lounge room is re-orginized and speaker placment is a little bit more flexible. Cheers guys. I would imagine that you should set the sub crossover higher than the 2700(AVR). If you set the sub lower at say 60hz then the 2700 at 80Hz to me that means you would be missing the bass frequencies from 60-80Hz in your audio reproduction. I would also be interested in responses as to wether the sub crossover should be set to max if using AVR crossover or nearer avr settings? Would like to hear your opinions on Richter one you have it up and running as I am looking at one of those also.

ozcal
check the htfaq sticky a few links to threads on the topic including instructions on setting up the thor. Don't know specifically about the Richter subs , but after following the instructions on the PA forum re: sub setup I started off with the x-over on the Rotel pre set to 60hz and the freq, level control set to full scale on the sub. With a bit of experiemtation I have ended up with the freq control set to about 3'oclock which provides far better integration , bass power and dynamics than the previous 10 o'clock position.
