The Best Tv Types

Just curious what types of TVs (actual type, not necessarily brand) are best for various situations/uses.

CRT seems good for all-around stuff, but good ones are so rare these days (especially that HDMI-capable Sony-Triniton that I can't find in Aus, even on ebay).

LCD doesn't seem suited for movies/TV because of it's flaws, but I'm not sure about games.

Plasma seems good for movies/TV, but maybe not for things were an image remains on-screen for too long.

If someone can help me out, that'd be great.

I have had an LG 42in Plasma for the last 18 months and have not had any problems.I have not had any channel logo burn in or any other problems. If I were to buy another plasma it would also be an lg. But this time with an sd or hd tuner. (Mine only has analogue).
