djOS
Btw, For those HS50/60 owners who haven't read their manuals and aren't aware of this; the Air filter needs to be replaced after every 1000 hours of use.

djOS
I just realised that I also have a Sony HS50 IR remote control (RM-PJHS50) in perfect working order (used only briefly to program my Universal remote) that is useless to me, so if anyone wants it as a spare for a HS50/60 make me an offer + $5 Standard Postage & Handling. PS. I made another thread for it here.

C'mon Djos you cant leave us in the lurch like that, tell us what happened, being a PJ i know it wasn't you who had the plasma strapped to the roof of your car on the freeway so i dont think it could be more embarrassing than that! Basically while removing it from my ceiling mount (to clean it and replace the air filter), it slipped off my hand (I had one hand underneath, cordless drill in other hand and was undoing the 2 screws connecting it to the mount) onto my tiled floor resulting in the lens mechanism, sans some of the glass optics, being relocated a couple of centimeters further back inside the case than would be considered normal.
