anthonysimilion
You may need to manually set the PIDs for the HD audio and video only. I can't remember how to do it in ProjectX - I haven't used it for years - VideoReDo is definitely much easier to use.
MRisos
I tried videoredo but it only finds the SD pid.. This is because Prime turn hd off when not needed and the pid doesnt exist.. I have been mucking around in projectx for hours.. i have no idea how to force it demux the hd pids.
pheggie
Saw an ad that Coxy's Big Break is now in HD wonder if it's real 1080i on Prime Any screen shots would be nice.
pietro1503559499
I just checked Prime Albury for Sunrise and it is 576p. Are there only some Prime areas in 1080i?
freighttrain
I just checked Prime Albury for Sunrise and it is 576p. Are there only some Prime areas in 1080i? have you done a stb reset.... however it might be worth it.. its not native hd.. its only upconverted.. i have the pleasure of having seven and prime to do a comparison and i notice when it is native hd from seven the clock is in the top right hand corner but on the sd channel the clock is in the normal position.. on prime hd the clock is in the position of the sd which suggest to me that it is upconverted.. also the prime logo was more towards the top of screen

MRisos
I have a feeling SEVEN is behind this.. Prime had full 1080i and was stat muxing so they set it up.. and now to go back to 576p @ 13mbps after a few days.. something must be up.
anthonysimilion
I thought something strange was up when they changed to 1080i in the first place! This is very disappointing.
pietro1503559499
I just rang the tech in charge at Prime Albury. He has no knowledge of any Prime doing 1080i. Was very interested to hear about this thread, but he said the problem is political, as we all know. He said if 7 says to go 1080i they will. freighttrain
He obviously doesn't watch Prime HD! What about Prime in Canberra (the HQ?)? i have to look to see if prime from wollongong has reverted back to silly 576p... i wondered if they did it to show up channel seven lol... maybe a seven exec saw and rung prime and told them not to be better then them lol or even worse stokes rung them
pietro1503559499
He obviously doesn't watch Prime HD! What about Prime in Canberra (the HQ?)? So Prime in Canberra is definitely 1080i?
anthonysimilion
No, but (AFAIK, not 100% sure) the presentation/playout is controlled from Canberra, so they would be the people who know what is going on.

Sorry, I mis-interpreted you. However since there is no 1080i from Albury or Shepparton that's all I really need to know. The guy was helpful and interested, and took my phone number saying he would let me know if he had further info.
ibanez5
How come PRIME can't tell $even to go f@#& themselves over the HD issue? SC is broadcasting $even programs in 1080i in Tassie.
anthonysimilion
Because Seven would just cut their supply of HD programming off, I assume.
ibanez5
Because Seven would just cut their supply of HD programming off, I assume. Ok. I didn't think there was anything binding regional affiliates to have the same HD format as the metro stations.
anthonysimilion
Ok. I didn't think there was anything binding regional affiliates to have the same HD format as the metro stations. Nothing from the Federal Government saying this must be the case, but the commercial agreement between Prime and Seven for the supply of programming may have this. Of course, I have no idea to the true reason.

digitalj
Anyone notice "Beach Girls" is sposed to be on Prime HD but isnt..Maybe they are fixing minor issues... Bring back 1080i!! It's 576p here in Sydney. So it must be native HD, because otherwise there would be a loop on atm.
