kjb
It seems as because I only paid a deposit that I am not on the list for the second shipment. This was not stated to me, as a requirement for being on the second shipment list. All that was said to me was that for the first shipment if I wanted to receive a unit I would need to pay the full amount. Originally I was informed that we would be contacted when the shipment comes in and asked to pay the remaining money at that time and that all we needed to pay at the time was a holding deposit. So here I have been waiting diligently for an email requesting final payment of the remaining amount but this has now changed to only those who have paid in full will be on the list. So by paying in full you can jump the queue, wow would have been good to know this. I feel like telling them to shove it where the sun don't shine atm. Sorry to hear this mav ... I paid in full to get into the first shipment, so didn't jump the queue in round 2 - I got bumped because the last two units in the first shipment were yanked due to problems with them. I'd be as angry as you in your position - if I hadn't decided to pay in full I would have expected there to be enough units to fill the order or, if not, Projectisle should have let everyone know what their options were and given them the same opportunity to ensure their place in the second round by paying in full. Maverick
have you spoken to them about it and told her you aren't happy? Yes but I have only managed to do so through email, the one time yesterday that I managed to get through on the phone and Jenny was out at a meeting. The chap I spoke to was not involved with the GB but seemed to know a little about what they expected to receive next week, which looks to be 5 units. Two of these were already pre-allocated to the two people who should have received theirs from the first shipment but two of those were damaged and sent back to JVC. This leaves 3 units which have been allocated to people who have paid in full regardless of where they fell on the list.

Maverick
My first impression was the opposite (but I came from a 65 kg dinosaur) I should have said for a digital, it pales in comparison to the CRT monsters that quite frankly I would be scared to sit under. I hope to have some pictures of side by side comparison between the HD1 and my current Sony HS60 (if anyone is interested). Regards David

bort
The pictures look very colourful (NOT oversaturated, before anyone says that.... ) I've never seen the movie (HP) myself - is it a very colourful movie?
franin
Bah. I'll see your 11.6 kg HD1 and raise you one 98kg NEC. norpus
The pictures look very colourful (NOT oversaturated, before anyone says that.... ) The second one the greens look a bit fluorescent - this is coincidentally the primary my JVC has oversaturation vs the video spec on. Yet, I truly believe this colouration of this screenshot is likely just due to camera screenshots being typically unrepresentable to the real image. (From experinece and comments from 2 experienced crters who know their colour saturation, my JVC image has been deemed not oversaturated btw, so I have no reason to believe this one would be different)
Maverick
The pictures look very colourful (NOT oversaturated, before anyone says that.... )I've never seen the movie (HP) myself - is it a very colourful movie? Yes in certain scenes it is a riot of colour. Other scenes are mostly darkish night scenes. Typically the HP movies in general do implement overexposure in the colour fields, very noticeable when they are trying to express candle lit rooms when there is a heavey presence of yellow light used to illuminate the subjects. Maverick
I dont know if its just me(more than likely).but those pics look squashed, Yes I agree with you, I think it is a setup issue on the S97 as I had it attached and cal'ed for the Panny plasma but wanted to quickly see what the SD quality was like on the HD1. I am going to have a better play with it tonight.
Nickoff
I remember my original copy of Harry Potter and the PS was 4x3 - maybe that's the cause "squashed look" of those pic's?
