mgoldsmith Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hi All, Does anyone happen to have Dr Who from 21st Oct? The Ark in Space Part 2 My DVICO recorder decided to kill parts of my scheduled recording list for the week (such a nice bug!) so i only have the last 13 mins of the eps as i noticed it wasn't running and manually engaged recording to capture what i could. fingers crossed. thanks Matt.G
Guest Gizmomelb Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hi Matt, I might be able to, but it's possible I'vre already edited and DIVX'd that episode. I'll have to check tonight when I get home. Gizmomelb
mgoldsmith Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 much appreciated. if you've already deleted the broadcast version then the DIVX version would be fine. thanks Matt.G
tonygib Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Or in the case of this one, you could buy the DVD, should be able to get it for ~$30.
mgoldsmith Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 when did they sneak that one out i wonder? i'm not collecting them atm, so i'll have to suss out the video shop down the road for a renter. thanks for the heads up.
magnu Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 when did they sneak that one out i wonder?i'm not collecting them atm, so i'll have to suss out the video shop down the road for a renter. thanks for the heads up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Ark in Space DVD has been out for about a year or so &, like all the other DVD releases, is of far superior quality to what's on the ABC. The black & white episodes are particularly exceptional, & you'll be bound to erase the ABC copies once you see them! Bye the way, I'm after a few eps I missed as well. The 2nd ep of The Rescue, the ep of The Chase set in The House of Horrors, & ep 1 of The Romans. If anyone can help, I have plenty to swap with?
tonygib Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 The black & white episodes are particularly exceptional, & you'll be bound to erase the ABC copies once you see them! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, the Seeds of Death looks amazing compared to what was broadcasted, just goes to show what hours and hours of clean-up work can do with the surviving material. Which is one reason for the slow release schedule, takes some time to clean them all up for DVD release.
Guest Gizmomelb Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 sure does, some nice work they've done both techincally and in restoration of old shows. http://www.restoration-team.co.uk/

Guest Gizmomelb Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 mgoldsmith - yes I've got that episode if you still want it. please PM me and we'll organise sending you a DVD. magnu - please send me a list of the episodes you're after. all of mine are in XVID format, so if that's ok maybe we can help each other with a few missing episodes here and there.
