I have a Hitachi 32PD5000VA with a DGtech 2000Bplus STB

Have great picture EXCEPT on some channels a few % of the bottom of the picture is "below" the bottom of the screen

This is particularly noticable on morning news shows that have a scrolling marquee message - you can only see the top half of the writing

(PS there appear to be no menu options on the plasma nor the STB to adjust screen height, etc)

I am unaware as to whether there is any truncation horizontally as I have no reference picture to compare with

Any ideas as to which bit is causing this

Thanks in advance,

BrianC

I have seen a heap of plasmas in shopping centres with chopped off edges. Perhaps due to large amounts of overscan because of the NTSC intent for the plasma (I know yours isn't a 480line job, I just looked up the specs).

There is bound to be a vertical height/position menu, but it is normally a service menu and not just a regular menu.

I have a Humax HD 7000 and a 50 philips 50PF9966 and depending on the broadcast i have anywhere between nothing to a 2cm black stip on the LHS of the screen, i've looked through all the menus thinking it was a picture possitioning issue but i don;t have the option to move the picture over. Any suggestions?

I was looking at a DGTEC 2000A plus with a Panny 200A setup and found the same issue of not showing all of the picture. It is not the TV as I gone into the service menu and adjusted the vertical size. This is only a problem with 1080I mode only.

When I set it to 576P, It is outputting the full picture. I should really complain to DGTEC as there are no option to adjust the picture size.

Danny,

I have a 50PF9966 too. To reposition the screen, just use the cursor keys on the philips remote. Its not documented but it does work (I can also adjust screen L/R/U/D on my YESS HD settop box using the red function key)
