Db ratings for video cards?

Hi all,

does anyone know of a (hopefully a single) web site where they have a comparison of Db noise levels produced by various models of video cards?

It would sure make recommending a video card for a HTPC if you know it's 'near' or totally silent.

So far Google searches aren't revealing much.

I think you are looking at this a bit arse about

Whilst certain AGP cards may generate more RF than others, I reckon you should be more interested in the quality of the audio card / subsystem in a HTPC and it's ability to not be affected by the inherently 'RF Noisy' interior of the inside of a PC.

Then again, you may be referring to the noise level of the fan normally present on modern video cards cooling the video processor !

In which case, I guess your query makes sense, but I'd still be looking at the quality of the audio system

no I'm after fan noise levels, not RF noise levels. My fault for not being clear enough.

If its strictly for HTPC operations, something as humble as an ATI 9200 should do the trick - dual head, DVI, svideo out (but why use it) and best of all no fan. There are quite a few 9700 type cards around with dirty great heat tube based heatsinks that have no fan either.
