pietro1503559499 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Is anyone scanning to see whether WIN has started tests from Mt Baranduda? If we can believe the dba website it's due to commence in November.
mabster Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I scanned last night with no luck. I guess November is still a few weeks away...
waveformkid Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I hope when it does come to fruition, it is does properly and the picture quality will be comparable to any NINE digital servive in the metro area.....
waveformkid Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 November hits tomorrow, and according to DBA, WIN will be soon transmitting... Any sign yet??

bizzibee Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 You might be better off if you called WIN's Head Office in Wollongong (02) 4223 4199 Taken from: http://www.wintv.com.au/newwin/ Mark
mabster Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Just did a scan, and no dice. But ... the first day of the month is pretty optimistic!
bizzibee Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I see that SC Ten started Digital Broadcasts "on time" (1 Nov) from Shepparton. See this thread for details: http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtop...20entry110570 Mark
mabster Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I'm going to ring WIN Albury, but I'm not holding out much hope that they'll know what I'm talking about, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you end up calling 'em, pietro? What was their response?

mabster Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I just rang WIN Albury...and was told DTV will start in April/May 2005!!!!!!The staff member apologised. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OMFG! Well, that's actually not really surprising. Bloody hell! Looks like we're living with ABC and SBS until at least early next year, then.
waveformkid Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 WIN, dear me.. Who supplies the DBA with the projected on air dates for stations?? How could the DBA say NOV 2004 and WIN say April/May?? The communication industry is not communicating.. Why does'nt the regionals pull their finger out and post updates on the DBA??

waveformkid Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Well, the start dates for Albury have been updated again and guess what? WIN and SC TEN have pushed back their start date again - WIN - April/June 05 SC TEN - Jan/Mar 05 PRIME - 28th Feb 05 WOW! An exact date for PRIME!! Thats a first surely?? Lets see if they do start exactly on that date... bets anyone??
pietro1503559499 Posted November 8, 2004 Author Posted November 8, 2004 I'm really surprised Albury had done so badly in comparison with Shepparton. I would have thought they would be of equal importance. You will have seen we now have 4/5 of the channels from the GV.
