Spero D. Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I was wondering whether you can pick up the Astra satellite here in Australia for HDTV?

steveb1503559504 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 SperoYour look angle would be approx 25 deg which is almost level ground stuff!! cheers laurie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 0 Degrees is ground level stuff. 25 degrees is a perfectly normal look angle. Now if it was -25 degreees then I would understand.... You often see look angles of sat RX's and TX's down in the single degree digits in the lower and higher areas of the earth. I've seen a 13m Uplink dish running with a 4 degree look angle. But no way would you get Astra.......they only have a footprint over Europe, and you can't see any of the Satellites, they're all below the Horizon.
