SBS Digital Reception In Narooma

Recommended Posts

Since installing my Avermedia DVB 771 card I have been receiving a good strong

SBS signal which I thought was coming from my local transmitter.(Narooma)

However it turns out they don;t start doing test transmissions from this location until the 26/10/04.

It is coming from on a frequency of 184,500mhz on Channel 7. This is the allocated frequency from Mt Dundas near Hamilton in Western Victoria, which is

a fair distance to where I live in on the far south coast of NSW.

Bateman's Bay has also been allocated Channel 7,but would it also have the same

frequency? If so,that is probably where I get the signal from even though there

is Ulladulla and Moruya which are closer to me.

Just an interesting observation.

Incidently, this channel is marked as HD,I didn'y know anyone was broadcasting

in high definition down this way?
