Im pre-ordering a Panny 700 and am looking at a 100" widescreen to bundle with it. Im was looking at the CinemaTech 100" Manual widescreen, which is a matt white fibreglass screen with a gain of 1.1.

My room will be mostly light controlled as I know the 700 performs best in the dark, is anyone using the same screen or similar with the 700?

Give us your suggestions....

Thanx

I'm using the 96" Cinemapro pro chain pull with my infocus 4805 DLP Pj, OK different Pj but even with low light it is a beauty. I paid $700 about 2 months back.

ps. If you do buy get the chain pull model, much better.

I just purchased my AE700 with a LP Morgan 102" Grandview motorised 16:9 screen and I got the screen for $990.00 so I would suggest that you haggle with your supplier to get your screen for a good price. I paid $2975 for the PJ but I did not get it from Ausmedia who have the PJ for the same price.

I have asked a lot of retailers about the supposed RRP price drop and none of them had heard of it. My local store even called Panasonic whilst I was there and asked them and they said there was no RRP price drop.

What is the gain on the LP Morgan Grandview?, is it suitable for DLP Pj's? as I'd like to have an motorised screen but to replace my 96" Screentecnics one is $1650.

The Grandview has a gain of 1.1 and is definitely okay for use with a DLP. I have seen the screen in action and it is very nice. It also has two different remote control kits available one of which is what I am going to be getting. I just have not decided yet on whether to get th RF or the IR remote kit.

Cheers
