murrayt Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 In related threads recently there has been commentary on DVD Authoring applications. For those of us who have been around this forum for a while DVD-Lab was the subject of some interest, and it did a fine job. A new version DVD-Lab Pro V1.0 has recently been released and on paper looks to have a rich set of features if you really want to get clever with authoring your DVD. Yeah I know it's not a freebie so that will turn many off, and for simplicity and reliability I still prefer TMPGenc DVD Author, but it does have a 30 day evaluation period to allow you to try it out <nudge> <nudge> The link is here at: http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/dvdlabpro.html

I last looked only a week ago, if that. Great news though. I'm a current licenced user of the original DVD-Lab and I think it is a great product. I'm also a registered user of Sony / Sonic Foundry DVD Architect 2 and I still haven't bothered using that yet. Current DVD Lab shits on DVD Architect 1 and I anticipate DVDLab Pro will do likewise to DVDA 2. jr (BTW - I keep my Vegas/DVDA bundle up to date and it's DVDA that adds the AC3 support to Vegas and ACID which is what I'm after. I don't use the authoring capability unless it's a really simple job I wish to do.)
