In related threads recently there has been commentary on DVD Authoring applications.

For those of us who have been around this forum for a while DVD-Lab was the subject of some interest, and it did a fine job.

A new version DVD-Lab Pro V1.0 has recently been released and on paper looks to have a rich set of features if you really want to get clever with authoring your DVD.

Yeah I know it's not a freebie so that will turn many off, and for simplicity and reliability I still prefer TMPGenc DVD Author, but it does have a 30 day evaluation period to allow you to try it out <nudge> <nudge>

It must have just been released then. I last looked only a week ago, if that. Great news though. I'm a current licenced user of the original DVD-Lab and I think it is a great product.

I'm also a registered user of Sony / Sonic Foundry DVD Architect 2 and I still haven't bothered using that yet. Current DVD Lab shits on DVD Architect 1 and I anticipate DVDLab Pro will do likewise to DVDA 2.

(BTW - I keep my Vegas/DVDA bundle up to date and it's DVDA that adds the AC3 support to Vegas and ACID which is what I'm after. I don't use the authoring capability unless it's a really simple job I wish to do.)
