Guest Adi Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Was wondering, if this card will allow me to use my Audigy 2 for DAC .... or are you forced to use the analogue audio out from the tv tuner to your soundcard? Speaking about the Lite version here, i'm not sure if they are all the same...
joeybloggs Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 There is no audio out from a dtv card. The audio in is for capturing analog audio + video. In the simplest scenario. When receiving a dvb-t dtv transmission the digital streams are forwarded to your cpu for decoding in software and then to your video and audio cards for output. With most software it is also possible to forward the digital audio stream via coax or optical SP/DIF to external audio equipment for decoding and output.
Guest Adi Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 that sounds good....but i have seen in the fusionhdtv manual that an analogue lead comes from the hdtv card (internal) to the soundcard (internal). I just wanted to make sure, as my current analogue tv card has a line out which you have to use which i tihnk on a dtv card should be done digitally seems it is. Thanks. Going to get me one of these cards tomorrow or a cheaper alternative. not sure yet.
