ricamortis Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Well, I just moved into a flat in aspendale, I am between the beach and the train lines, and i have SHOCKING reception... As I am renting a flat, i need permission to put up an external antenna, and as my lease is only 12 months, it would not be worth spending $$$ on an antenna i will not be allowed to remove when i leave. I have a Samsung SD set top box and an internal antenna, I get good enough reception on SBS, ABC and Ten (except whilst a train is passing) But i cant get ANY signal from Nine and Seven...I have to watch them through my VCR...Does anyone have any advise for me?... Thanks Ric A Mortis
alanh Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 ricamortis, Make the total length of the rods 745 mm. The should both be horizontal. The rods should be at right angles to a line between the antenna and Mt Dandenong. For SBS use 270 mm. The only other alternative is to use an amplified indoor antenna. The rod length still is as above. AlanH
