adelaideviewer Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Hi all, Have just got the Toppy 120gig model yesterday and so far am extremely happy with it - running the dedicated S video output socket into a Panasonic analogue widescreen tv (only has S video and composite inputs). Can anyone comment on what gives the best connection out of the following and if there is any technical reason to favour one over the other: 1. use the dedicated s video output OR 2. plug s video cable into SCART adapter (from Tandy) Thanks Ian Adelaide
dvduser Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Go the dedicated connector, with the adapter from the SCART connector it's one more piece of equipment in the chain that can degrade the signal. By the way, what is the pq from s-video like ???

It looks really good. I did have a TEAC 400 STB running S video out its Scart connector and to me the Topfield looks superior. Ian Adelaide
