betty boop Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 have only found one unit with component in as yet the philips dvdr-75 for $699 at DJs - no HDD though which is a pity. This model has dv in as well which is important for those of us with dv camcorders. component in from a dvdr is important of course if you want to record off a stb. most dvdr only seem to have scart in/out
andczo Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Alebonau, not that this helps much but Yamaha also have a DVD recorder that has component inputs. . . . now don't get too excited cos it doesn't have a hard drive and to make matters worse, it appears to be a re-badged Philips. Andrew
dvduser Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 BUT, they still don't have digital in via Coax/Opto - so you don't get to be able to record SD audio properly. Hanging out for the new Toppy HD unit with PVR - waiting, waiting, waiting
