Johnnydust Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 I have an LG LST4100P HD set top box which Im running through component into my LG Lafinion TV. The picture is not a true 16:9 at the moment, just a stretched 4:3, I know this because I have a Teac DVB400 SD set top box also, and it runs true 16:9 and looks so much better than the LG with no bits missing on either side of the screen. I would prefer though not to go back to having to use the TEAC as I would have thought at $400 more in cost is would be a better box. Is there any firmware upgrade which will fix the problem and give me a true 16:9 image??? If anyone has it, please let me know where I can get it or send it to me as at the moment the picture is crap, lots of short fat people. Thx JD
REZ O'LUTION Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 I think you need to set LG screen ratio setting to normal/full
Richard1503559753 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Hi Johnny There is a software upgrade for pic position in component input and 16:9 appearing like stretched 4:3 due to dual signal transmitted . Ring Humax on 1800 613-011 for info
yarraw Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Johnnydust the problem with a horizontally stretched picture has been experienced by me and other people using the Teac and LG HD boxes. Can you let me know what channels you are having the problem with?
