wheels Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Hello all, Placed an order for a remote from Bluedo last night and received confirmation e-mail. Anyone recently ordered as they need credit card picture scan for more authorisation. Have given card numbers plus extra security numbers only holder of card should have. Anyone else ordered recently. Mark
dvduser Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Standard Bluedo practice that everyone has had to do.
Dave T Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Standard Bluedo practice that everyone has had to do. Agree!
Steerpike Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Yeah, same here. I ordered the MX-500 and had to send a scan. I did however scan my card and delete a few things off it which they didn't seem to object to. I deleted the number on the back - ie the: extra security numbers only holder of card should have as well as a couple of digits from the front, and a portion of my signature. A bit of picture editing but as I said, I got no complaints.Enjoy the MX-500
mungo brush Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 I did same as steerpike. Scanned the card back and front, then blanked out my signature and a few significant numbers. Especially the 3 on the back. I think that they just need enough to know that you actually have the card (physically) and haven't stolen someone else's numbers. I was a bit nervous about it as well, but no problems at all.
RodN Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Bluedo are not very quick on the emails are they? I sent them a message (no emails actually provided on the site) on Friday asking about delivery in which they haven't replied yet. Does anyone happen to have their direct email address? I don't think I'll buy it off them without the discount on delivery, $40 us for delivery is almost 50% of the price of the unit itself, goes against my grain to pay that much just for a box and transport!
Kiwiconehead Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 They seem to be available off eBay Australia now - but still A$215 incl shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ssPageName=WDVW
brent1503559619 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Ummm, from the same seller... $189 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi..._PcY_BIN_Stores Would this be the latest revision of the remote??
Kiwiconehead Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Ummm, from the same seller... $189 Yeah - I know it's $189, but he charges $25 for shipping
Binxx Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 wheels, Did Bluedo send you a discount coupon for shipping and did you specify how you would like it shipped? I plan to order the twin pack this week so was asking. Also, did they provide you with an email address for you to send the scanned copy of the CC? Thanks Binks
bwilson Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Binxx, The old discount codes still work, if you order 2 it works out at a little over $150 each. When you place your order, you are sent an autoresponse immediately that specifies where to send your CC images to (along with confirming shipping address). As long as you use the coupon, it will be sent USPS. USPS is effectively snail mail so its a little unpredictable. The first time I ordered from BlueDo it took about 12 days, the second time it took about 5 days. Bruce

Does anyone know of the discount coupon code for me to enter Also is it preferable to use Amex or would Visa/MC be better? Exchange rates and all
harpie Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 SInce no one has replied The code is- "For a single MX-500 shipped to Australia, we offer this coupon code: AUS-MX500" This cheaper alternative looks pretty good, Hopefully will be released soon. I would have waited for reviews before making a final decision but have already placed my order for the MX before I knew this was coming. http://www.zensonic.com/z150.php Will retail for around $89 http://www.pcrange.biz/index.php?page=cs
Binxx Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Got a response directly from BlueDo, the code to be used is AUS-MX5002
