Ohboy Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Hi all, I have the Marantz DV-4300 Player. Good picture from S-video out. also has component and a D-connection? says that Component and D-Connection will do 480P or 480i. Q1. Has anyone tried component or D-type out and compared it to S-video out? Q2. What signal is output from the D-connector (miniature socket) type Q3. I have the Sony KE32TS2E Plasma, it has 3 x scart and 1 x component (rgbhv) rca I am using the RGB output from the LD-4100P (D-plug to 5x RCA cable) Q4. Is there a switch box that will take the two types of RGB (3 x RCA from DVD) and output 1 x Component (RGBHV) RCA and lastly will 480P look better than the existing S-video? Thankyou in advance for any replies Best Regards
mylesau Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Hi ohboy, Q1. I use S-VIDEO out to 81cm Analogue TV and Component to XGA projector. Have tried S-VIDEO to projector - just to see what it's like - huge difference. Component is the way to go. Not sure about your other equipment so can't comment. 480p looks heaps better than S-VIDEO - especially on a 100" diag. (2m wide) screen
