David Le Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Can someone please suggest a decent courier for sending wine to interstate? I got couple cartons of wine that need to be sent from Melbourne to Brisbane. Thanks David

For wine deliveries you don't have many options. Austpost wine delivery service is better than most, but breakages do occur (one customer got three in a row. As in original case, then replacement case, then second replacement case). Northline used to specialise in wine but no longer. I'm not sure what the problem is with the speed of Fastways wine service. I'm getting next day delivery from McLaren Vale into Sydney. Maybe regular freight is different. PS - your location, close to Mello, is that as in former Stereonet antagonist and Alfisti Mello Yello?

Yes........I moved from Sydney to The Gong.............where he apparently resides. I went to Northline's Sydney operation a couple of weeks ago...........confusion reigned. Ate all m customer's profit in waiting time. He was going to try and claim it back...........haven't heard the result yet.
wikeeboy Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I work in national wine distribution. TNT are the absolute worst, more breakages than safe deliveries. Fastway are pretty good, you are provided a delivery window and 9 times out of 10 they hit it. Breakages are negligible on my end. When it comes to distributing wine, if you are only sending cases you're always trying to select the best of a bad bunch. @dave1 are the 2 cases you're sending to QLD relatively expensive? I could always squeeze them in with a pallet i send up there.. usually safer sending a layer to a full pallet rather than single cases..
