Item: Optonica RP-7100 Turntable

Location: Nth Shore, Sydney

Price: $150 - Pick up only SOLD

Item Condition: Cosmetically excellent; Operationally fine although the track select can be fussy at times.

Reason for selling: De-cluttering

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only

Extra Info: These Optonica turntables fetch a small fortune in Germany as they were one of the first turntables to introduce a track select feature using a second arm with a sensor running parallel to the main arm. This one is in immaculate condition, comes with the original user manual and possibly has an AT-95E or OM-10 cart fitted (I'll confirm this tonight). The dustcover is a glass affair so absolutely unmarked. A great little toy for the lovers of techie stuff!:thumb:

Pictures: I'll take some of mine this evening but for now, a borrowed shot:

Item Condition: Immaculate and functionally perfect along with remote control

Reason for selling: I have two and only need one

Item: TAG (The Audio Group) Classic Speakers

Location: Same as above

Price: $600 - SOLD

Item Condition: Excellent, veneer in lovely condition with minimal blemishes

Reason for selling: I have two and only need one

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only

Extra Info: Stunning standmount speakers from The Audio Group in Melbourne. Nothing on the web about these but when I got them many years ago, I had some email exchanges with TAG wherein they confirmed that these retailed for over $3K in the 90's. They are built like brick outhouses, weighing in at 19kg each and utilise high quality drivers. The sound they produce is quite stunning and these have seen off numerous standmounts by some well known makers.

Happy to audition for any prospective buyers. I can also offer a pair of immaculate Soundstyle Z1 stands for an additional $150

Pictures: This is the only shot I have to hand but will post additional pics over the weekend.

I've decided to make the Rotel a free extra for the buyer of the Optonica turntable if it doesn't sell separately.:)

That's the best looking table with an Optonica badge.

Agreed and sounds surprisingly good as well!

hey mate,
Would you post the TAG speakers

Sorry Bob, but at a packed weight of 40+ kg, that's not something I want to do. If you can find someone doing a drive from Syd to Bris, that would be the option.

There is interest in the speakers locally and an audition being scheduled - I don't expect to have them by the end of the audition....

As mentioned in the listing, additional photos will be added over the weekend and I'll also give dimensions. The CD case gives an initial indication - they're not petite!

Dimensions of the speakers are 420mm H x 240mm W x 302mm D.

Some extra pictures including the only significant blemish I can see on the front left edge on one speaker.

Speakers are being auditioned on Sunday afternoon and I'd be surprised if they're still here come Sunday evening!:)

The surprise for me is there hasn't been a bite for the Linn Classik which is a cracking little all-rounder and perfect for a bedroom or system where you want a discrete and simple look. I used this with the TAG speakers as well as my big Celestion A3's and it was not out of its depth at all. I should have added that it also has a headphone output.

Here's one review:

Do you still have the linn classik?

JH

Sure do.

Yes, you can connect external sources such as DVD or CD players. It doesn't have an integrated phono stage, however.

In any event, the Classik has now been spoken for.
