soundfan Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I have not heard about this mat until I read this thread, but I might consider buying one. 1
MattyW Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 If there's one thing I've found with mat's there is no one size fits all approach. Different mats suit different tables, and modifications to a table can change which may works best. With my JVC TT-71 a suede leather mat with 5mm thick rubber backing worked best. When I damped the platter with Dynamat Extreme then a 6mm aluminium mat worked best.My Ariston RD110 SL sounded best with a 2mm thick corkstone mat. The stock mat killed dynamics. My mates Toshiba SR150 turntable sounds best with a corkstone mat vs stock also. I've previously owned a Hitachi HT351 turntable which was my second table. It was best with a thin cork / nitrile blend.Mt S.A.M Aldebaran seems best with its stock Acrylic mat.I've no doubt that this mat would be incredible with certain tables, though I don't believe it would be best for all tables. You have to experiment to find out what is best for your table.Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk

Quote Saves thousands! …. instead of buying more expensive turntable models costing you £1000’s, you can have the equivalent in sound quality for a fraction of the price. Yes, seriously I wish someone would start making the Micro Seiki type cu-180 copper mats again. I know Puresound did a few years back. Edited July 5, 2017 by metal beat 1
MattyW Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Mmmm, I'd like to try copper too.... Aluminium was the best I could afford. Happy with the results though Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
metal beat Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Yea, I have a SAEC SS-300 Alloy Turntable Mat. Sounds great on my Technics dd, rubber mat better on the Pioneer. nothing is universal with audio. Edited July 5, 2017 by metal beat 1
