Item: Sonique 3.5 stand mount speakers
Location: Perth
Price: $180
Item Condition: Very good for age
Reason for selling: No longer needed
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: Really nice set of Sonique speakers that got me hooked on the sound, I now have the 6.5 floor standers. Obviously they don't go real low, the driver is only 4inch but very impressive sound. They image very well, very deep soundstage etc.

The previous owner scratched some numbers into the back of the speakers, I have done my best to get rid of it and polish it out bur still slightly visible. They do have a few little marks here and there but do present very well. I love the veneer, the colour and details in the wood is very nice.

I swap these in and out of the system every now and then and use them with and without a sub, they really come alive when integrated with a decent sub.

Lovely cabinet veneer!

Partially ruined by the previous owner

I cannot comprehend why someone would want to scratch some numbers on the back of the cabs & deface these beautiful spkrs...

This practice is in case the speakers get stolen and this is a unique way of identifying your items. I have some hifi equipment in metal that has this as well, wood is an easy medium to tag. Some habits die hard as the previous owner was responsible for this engraving of the equipment practice

Close to being the best small bookshelf I've heard. Very little coloration as well. You need good gear with these.

PM Sent.

If still available I will buy these please.

I am in Leederville.

Cheers

Chris

Chris has sent me a pm first. Will be in contact later. Had someone on gumtree get in before everyone but think will end up stuffing me round.

They are a nice little speaker, in a small room with a decent amount of watts they would be magic.

Cheers Dave

Engraving metal I can understand, but timber?

He could have put his scratched numbers on the plastic above the binding posts

It has to be somewhere prominent and not easily replaceable if it gets nicked. Old school tracking of personal possessions. Great speakers, love the finish, great credit to the current owner in removing the numbers took me abit to work out where they were

Or on the bottom of the speakers where you won't see it.
