Item: Paradigm 11se Deluxe 6ohms

Location: ACT
Price: $700
Item Condition: Excellent for their age, drivers, grills are lovely and click in solidly.
Reason for selling: Too many speakers I've had my fun with them and I need to raise some funds for some beasts I've agreed to buy.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: I've had these a while and enjoyed them very much they are a sweet sounding speaker very nice for Classical and Jazz not so much doof doof having said that they do like a bit of current.

As you can see there is a bit of veneer shade from the sun from a previous owner obviously doesn't affect the sound and can only be noticed with the grills off apart from the discolouration the veneer is in excellent condition I could have given them a coat with some Gilly Stephensons to hide it but better to show them as they are.

They look like really good quality speakers. Good luck with the sale very cheap$$$

Thanks @audiohifiaudio they are good quality, full range and quite rare from what I can ascertain, the Deluxe were pretty expensive in their day not that affordable back then.

Would a 150w integrated have enough oomph to get these to sing? And how would they compare to the more recent signature range? In your opinion....

Definitely, positively, absolutely ....................yes. to question 1.

Question 2 would be a matter of side-by-side testing but then again the sig range would be significantly more expensive and for $700 these are a steal

Like Rantan said no problem with that sort of wattage and I'm sorry but I can't comment on a comparison I haven't heard the signature range come to think of it I haven't heard any other Paradigm speakers I will say that my Sansui Alpha does a nice job driving them and it's only 100 watts, sweet watts though.

These speakers are simply amazing!

Heard a pair few years back and was just stunned how beautiful the soundstage was!

At this price this is a bargain!

GLWTS seb!!:thumb:

If it helps. The newer signature range is very up front and in-your -face and more hyper detailed ( more modern if you will ) whereas the 11SE are more balanced and neutral and easier to match with a given system.   They are also, dare I say it..... more musical.

Nice looking speakers.Love that Spendor-like transparent cone, love the real wood look. Maybe it's me but wandering around hifi stores these days many speakers almost look "unwooden" and kinda composite/plastic they are so over glossed, lacquered maybe over finished that the wood is somehow lost - they kinda look cheap. These look the part and I'm sure they sound bloody fantastic and for that money... what a buy.

Off topic - Has anybody ever tried to UV the grill area to darken/match the varnish on the "sunny" side? Can that be done ie a non chemical approach?

How have these not sold yet?..... Damn southerner's get all the good buys - maybe they're thinking they're too cheap to sound any good..... audio snobbery!

I think if shipping was an option they might well have been sold by now

@Rhinog66 is having a look and listen tomorrow night if he doesn't snap them up I may be able to assist with a drop off or near to, in a couple of weeks I'm heading up to Grafton to pick up some speakers may be an option for someone. Just saying.

I am currently looking for a full range floor stander, these are local and interesting. Probably a case of needing to get my funds sorted a little earlier than ready though..... let me know how you get on, but I am interested in a listen.
