Extra Info:

These chairs belonged to an elderly relative. They were purchased in Melbourne in the late 1930s and were  shipped to Adelaide where they have been ever since.

I was given the chairs about 10 years ago. I had the original leather (which had become quite worn) replaced with a quality classic green textured fabric (Warwick) in 2012. For a short while, they served as my hifi listening chairs. The original timber feet and castors remain (only the front feet have castors).

These chairs are extremely comfortable, however have seen very little use since reupholstering due to a change of house requiring they be placed into dry storage. I just cant fit them in to my listening area, and I dont want to keep them in storage any more - so they have to go.

The price is for each chair (single), and represents less than half the cost of reupholstering / re-springing that was  undertaken. They are adverstised elsewhere for a higher price.

Fabric has no stains, no wear marks and is in all-round excellent condition. A few minor marks are visible on the timber feet, but not obvious.

I would clearly prefer that these are purchased locally, however, I will use a reputable courier (Pack & Send) if interstate buyers are interested. Please email me prior to purchase if you are not in Adelaide. If possible, an inspection in Adelaide is strongly recommended.

Thanks for looking

Just how funky are these gems!  A rare find.

Cheers mate. Yep, they're pretty groovy alright. I figured they might suit someone on our forum who needs a chair for listening pleasure. Their laid back sitting style & height really does lend itself to a good listening position.

I'd keep em if I could, but they really just cant fit into the modern room where my rig has to be.

Cheers, Stu

Adore these, trying to think up a space/excuse for them here :)

I'd be happy to send you some more photos seeing you're not in Adelaide to see them for yourself :)
