robin-hobart Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 These look very similar to my Derek Brock 'Audiofurn' stands. Perfect for Brit-style, standard 2 cubic foot speakers such as Spendor BC1s, Harbeth, etc. Being higher than the squat traditional castored BC1 stands, the sound really opens up. Good buying I reckon.
Guest OldSchool1 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Interesting design. Why no third leg to support the heavy speakers
bvuka2013 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 I guess the two horizontal bars are wide enough to provide sufficient support for the vertical pillars When four M6 spikes are fitted to each stand these babies are rock solid It's a great design by an Aust. Company that's no longer around I bought these for a pair of large Whatmoughs that sadly never eventuated The wifey wants the spare bedroom tidied up so sadly these need to find a new home
disco75 Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 (edited) Still available? If so, can they be picked up in Melbourne at all? Edited July 16, 2017 by disco75
