betty boop Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 yes there has been and update, a good run down from clarkson hehe he is a funny one https://www.driving.co.uk/car-reviews/clarkson/clarkson-review-2017-volkswagen-golf-gti/ at times i do miss my gti... maybe one day again though if you have the 7 maybe the 7.5 not a big enough jump enough. wait for the 8. also not sure does he say they replaced the keyless start and put back the key ? for the 7.5 model .... why would they do that ?
ArthurDent Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 The 8 may be some way off but we're getting more included that use to be optional and some useful new stuff. I like keys and manual gearboxes, not so sure about the new dash though. GTI pricing with the proper diff fitted will influence upgrade decision but I suspect it will be competitive given what else is available or on the way. https://www.volkswagen.com.au/en/models/new-golf.html
DoggieHowser Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Drove alongside a modded GTI mk6 with the LED tail lights and bixenons. Still a striking car from all angles. And it was modded with some tasteful lightweight rims and exhaust tips you can put your fist in [emoji51] exhaust note is gorgeous. That's one of the gripes I have about the 125i. The engine is a peach. But it sounds like a diesel engine. The GTI engine with similar power levels with burp and crackle

The GTI engine with similar power levels with burp and crackle sound tracks is one of the best parts of the gti. though it is manufactured partly. the merc amg exhaust on the a250 I found was very funky still loved all the stuff the gti did with the changing up and down with gears etc. good bit of fun even trundling around town.
