I could be interested in the Aurum Cantus.  How old are they?  Why did you replace the tweeters?  Would they suit a small room?

I assume the finish is cherry.

They were released in 2006 I believe, I got them second hand from the original owner. I just replaced the ribbons not the whole tweeter, I felt they were lacking and I was right, it's tightened them up dramatically. I have them in a large open area with a listening position about 8ft out  and they sound great. Apparently ribbons sound good near or far so room constraints are no major.i am yet to lug them upstairs to test that one out as they sound fantastic where they are

In the interest of transparency, it would have been useful to have specified that in the original listing.

You seem to try to move a lot of speakers here on SNA, most (if not all) of which end up having some kind of hidden "issue" that suddenly materializes when someone is sharp enough to ask a question..

I'm completely transparent,i had an issue where the tweeters in some whatmoughs weren't original (unbeknownst to me) but at the end of the day errest was happy and ended up buying some thiels from me a month later. the reason I move a lot of speakers is I, like many here have an addition to hifi. At any given time I have 4 or 5 sets and when I buy more I sell a set or two to fund them and make room.

The fact they have new ribbons is a bonus, nothing to hide about that. They are prone to sagging over the years which drops the frq response. Being my first set of ribbons I wasn't sure what to expect so kinda took them at face value and felt a little lacking. After a little bit of research I got in touch with final link who deal with aurum cantus and got them replaced.

Definitely a bonus to whoever buys them.

They are my main listening speakers at the moment, missus is just fed up with a loungeroom like a audio shop
