Featured Replies

Item:  Marantz CD player CD63SE (needs fixing)
Location: Townsville
Price: ? $100 + postage
Item Condition: not working but excellent cosmetic condition
Reason for selling: taking up space
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, bank transfer or Paypal (+3%)
Extra Info: no remote or instructions but happy to post within Australia

I've had this player in storage for ages. When I took it out it powered up but does t seem to read the disc. Looking online this seems to be a common issue with age of this model, but equally it says it is a cheap fix. I won't get around to it so someone here might be able to use this classic player

im not sure what to ask price-wise as I don't have the manual or remote.  It has a UK plug but is easily replaced with an Aus plug as both use th same mains voltage.

I'll start at $100 to see if there's any interest but if anyone really wants it and feels,a lower price is reasonable, make a sensible offer

Bloody hell mate..... :)

I would have taken this for sh*ts and giggles at the same time as the sub!!

If any of my inter-Cairns / Townsville group of friends are making a trip before you sell it, I'm sure we'll strike a deal.

In the mean time - good selling!

Cheers

@dasherhalo Sorry to hijack this thread but I have one of these as well. Mine is in (not perfect) working order and I have the original remote. The right channel drops out if you wiggle the rca lead. I think it's probably just a dry solder joint as both channels work perfectly through the headphone or digital out. The tray is a bit slow to move in and out and sometimes needs a slight push. Probably just needs some lubrication. Let me know if you're interested.

Fantastic sounding units these. I'm running one presently. If you were in Brisbane I'd have snapped it up for sure :)

It's gone to someone from Brisbane visiting Townsville. Took a drop in price. The buyer might be interested in your remote @Chigurh

lets see who pops up

i might have a fully working Rotel CD player (RCD-970BX IIRC) with the classic CDM9 Pro mechanism in it (these mechs are rare and were on top notch Krell CD players back in the day)

must see if it is lurking around.....
