Yes, sort of what I'm after...not really into the blue though and I suspect I'd want more bass...I've heard the floor standing version of these and thought the bass was just sufficient...

Can't comment I haven't heard any ZU I think the blue would be fine but depends on the decor and your existing system I suppose, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't efficient speakers not that heavy bass wise?

Not really heavy...I've had Hoyt-Bedfords before...they have enough...those Zu's with that driver would be a stretch though

I had both 15 and 12. I'd do 15 again although 12 weren't bad either.

The only way to get heavy bass (30Hz region) with high efficiency is big cabinets and or big drivers say 12 or 15".

 

It can be done and it can be stunning.

40-50 hz + room loading is fine...
