houdinifangs Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Yes, sort of what I'm after...not really into the blue though and I suspect I'd want more bass...I've heard the floor standing version of these and thought the bass was just sufficient...
houdinifangs Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Timber veneer preferred... love to score Omega 6 XRS Alinco...
BATMAQN Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Can't comment I haven't heard any ZU I think the blue would be fine but depends on the decor and your existing system I suppose, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't efficient speakers not that heavy bass wise?
Happy Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 You should consider some Audio Nirvana 12" or 15" in woody cabs 1

Not really heavy...I've had Hoyt-Bedfords before...they have enough...those Zu's with that driver would be a stretch though Edited June 2, 2017 by houdinifangs 1

Matt, The only way to get heavy bass (30Hz region) with high efficiency is big cabinets and or big drivers say 12 or 15". It can be done and it can be stunning. We have to respect the laws of physic's Edited June 2, 2017 by BobbyD x
