Businesses registered for GST will not be affected by this change if they register their Australian Business Number (ABN) with eBay.

I just received a similar spiel via email re: the "Netflix Tax": Important: “Netflix tax” effective 1 July 2017 From 1 July 2017, Goods and Services Tax (GST) will apply to fees on eBay.com.au, due to new legislation in Australia (the "Netflix Tax"). aasza Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) So sellers will pay FVF + 10% FVF on Postage +10%, any listing fees +10%, 2.6% + 30c Paypal fee and inflated Auspost charges So the number of "Great Buys" on eBay may dwindle, rename the thread to the "Great Items but with inflated prices to compensate for fees on eBay thread" Edited May 31, 2017 by aasza 1
