Item:

ifi Micro iPhono / or other stage with variable capacitive MM loading

Price Range: < $500
Item Condition: New or Used
Extra Info: Hi all. I have a Nagaoka cart which calls for insanely low capacitance for loading (150pF). My NAD pre wont offer low enough choices for loading this MM, so its time I pulled the trigger & went for a new phono preamp. Looking for a super quiet stage, with tight bass response & good HF clarity. MM dedicated is fine, if I get another MC down the line, I can always incorporate a SUT. My budget is a bit tight (as per my signature - PhD student), so unfortunately the $5000 + stages are out of my league!

Thanks in advance, Stu

Would the Ray Samuel F117 work?

Hey Doggie

It might do! I like the idea of a rechargeable battery power supply. Let me check the specs

Hey @DoggieHowser

From what I can glean from info on the interwebs, unfortunately the input capacitance for this beast is fixed at 220pF (variable load resistance, not capacitance on the dials). Its a bit high for the Nag. Thanks anyhow.

I have an Analogis Resume with a Klein power supply. Only issue is the miniature tab on the bottom cover to switch between MC and MM snapped off - can still move the switch between the two but not as easy as it was.

Terrific phono stage and selectable capacitance from zero to pretty high.

PM me if any interest.

Hey there@Hensa

Sounds very interesting, but it seems I need to get google translate working overtime (all info is in German). Will send you a PM

I have a IFI Stereo 50 ,that has the same phono stage. I think, but I am open to correction on that. I would sell for the $500-00 you want to pay.

It is in Perth but I have the original packing , I could put it on Officworks pack and send at your expense.

PM if interested
