G'day all, although I train at my local gym every day and enjoy it, I was recently 'talked into' resuming 'personal training' or PT with one of the trainers there.  I used to do regular PT  in the past but got out of the habit.  Well today was my first session for quite a while and whilst I 'think' I enjoyed it, right now I am feeling a 'bit' sore, arms and particularly my lower back.  Will somebody please tell me that this is all worth it!  Regards, Felix.

My wife recently took up crossfit at age 58 and she loves it. (No I won't be joining her)

Well done Felix.

No pain, no gain....... It's so easy to do nothing.

Stay with it Felix , just listen to your body.

Good luck :thumb:

The only thing that's really important is to do the right things regularly. Do whatever that takes.

For me that was a fair bit of reading because only I know my body and its limitations and needs; and I like knowing things. That was in about 1978 and I'm now training three times a week.

I've started my "200 Squat" routine again and no gym required... :P

AIUI, Tase ... there are 5 major muscle groups that need to be exercised.  Squats ... just do one!  ;)

G'day all, it's early morning (5:24 am), the day after my PT session yesterday and I'm still a wee bit sore.  I think that I might take it a little easier today if I can! :)  Regards, Felix.

There's an old saying that goes something like " your body is like a wheelbarrow, if you don't keep pushing it, it will seize up" I think that's how it goes. Was recently told to me by a Judo Sensai, he told me this after I started Judo again after 20 years and was complaining about being sore, the saying has really stuck with me.

I don't think I need to go to a gym, I just looked at how many steps I do at work a day, over 10,000!
