RIP Roger - great innings

I will pull out my fav Bond movie and watch it - Live and Let Die

Always a good topic of discussion - favourite Bond movie, favourite Bond theme song... Live and Let Die is my latter and The Spy Who Loved Me is my former.

Casino Royale for both....though Skyfall is a tie for the song (in fact I think Skyfall is a masterpiece, but they're very different)

Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me were always my fav's from Roger Moore......I was only saying yesterday I am looking forward to introducing my 5 year old daughter to them at some point in the next few years. I think I was 7 when I watched The Spy Who Loved me with an aunt of mine.

RIP Ivanhoe

Hi

One of my favourite TV shows as a kid, pity no one has done a remake.

May he rest well....

Don't forget 'The Persuaders' with Tony Curtis.

Maybe not as memorable as 'The Saint'.

yep it is a good topic as there are so many good ones.

He was the 1st Bond that I saw as a kid and is the person I think of when i think Bond.  He was my favourite Bond. My favourite film is 'For your eyes only' and close is "View to a Kill'.  Mainly because they were out at the time I was first seeing the films (I was 11 when For your eyes came out).

Song - Nobody does it better or Live and let die.

@scuzzii - you young blokes don't remember the real James Bond, from the earlier movies when the stunts were almost realistic etc  Compared to Sean, Roger was soft.

I remember Wodge from the Saint, a great TV show, which when they inevitably show the reruns, will undoubtedly show its age, badly. They all seem to, (except the full length movies).

I would just like to say that Roger Moore was possibly the best looking man that has ever lived. Forget your Tom Cruise. This guy's tally could have been 1 for every night he was alive.

I would have, and I'm not gay !!    I'd have to push Hensa out of the way.

Not a queue I'd have been in, Nige, so would have been less waiting time for you![emoji106]

Sad to see a 007 go with cancer.

Whilst not my favorite Bond, Roger suited the times and feel of the Bond movies back then.

He also starred or was a regular in quite a few TV series.

The Persuaders

The Saint

Ivanhoe

The Alaskans

Maverick (Beau Maverick)
