MusicOne Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Just spotted this on the Accuphase website: http://www.accuphase.com/model/a-250.html The ultimate in pure class A amplification? 3
georgehifi Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 (edited) Heard a pair of the earlier class-A A-100 version of these (with analogue meter on the front) on Jenson's (Audio Connection) system at his home with B&W 801D's very very good. Rated output : 100 watts (into 8 ohms, 20-20,000 Hz, THD below 0.01%) ; 200 watts (4 ohms); 400 watts (2 ohms); 560 watts (1ohm) Cheers George Edited May 20, 2017 by georgehifi
Wimbo Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 My old memories of Accuphase are "Boring". Hopefully they have some spark in them now.

I think Accuphase' lower spec gear does suffer from a bit of lack of dynamism, but equipment at this level (A-250) is recognised as amongst the best there is....only wish I had that sort of money. The most recent price I have on the now superseded A-200 (2016) is $27,500.... I guess that's each....so you've got to be a bloody exploitative capitalist to afford them.
