Extra Info: These drivers were removed from a large, evolving D'Appolito system that used eight of these drivers. Two were sold previously and one was damaged during handling - the front of these drivers are well protected with the mesh covers (that do not interfere with their dispersion) but the rear faces are not. The compound arrangement as heavy as it was composed of two drivers and a heavy machined nylon tubular barrel. All it took was a finger between the metal basket web at the rear to puncture the ceramic. One of those moments!

These drivers are in very good serviceable condition and have never been over-driven or flogged. All the cones, baskets, grills and surrounds are excellent. There are some minor marks in the mounting holes.

They are an excellent, fast, detailed and very dynamic mid/bass driver that appear to be very similar to the current Accuton C173-6-191, 6.5" Ceramic Mid/Bass driver that retail through Madisound for US$304 ea. The physical dimensions are exactly the same, and the fs and response curve are very similar. I was running these drivers between 80Hz and 1200Hz through an active crossover with steep dB/octave roll-off - well within their response range and fs of 32Hz.
I do not have the Thiele/Small parameters for these drivers but I am sure they are available. These drivers were as twin compound loaded pairs in 20L sealed enclosures by a pair of valve monoblock amplifiers.

The packed shipping weight will be about 20kg as they will be very well packed. The combined weight of the five drivers is around 12kg. Trackable shipping through Pack and Send should be around about $60 to the Eastern states. The exact cost will be determined by destination.
