jackrinse Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Item: DacPrice Range: $3-600Item Condition: New or UsedExtra Info: Hi all I am looking for a musical Dac that can be purchased used for little money, maybe around $300-$600. I am not so interested in accurate or detailed but prefer that my music just sound nice and flow. Warm is a word often used to describe some components and I guess that is what I am looking for. A fleshed out, warm, musical, non fatiguing inexpensive dac to listen to music from Tidal or spotify. Thanks Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. wizzie Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 NAD M51? But it may be a little over your 600 budget They frequently pop up on the FS forum Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
jackrinse Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 Thanks Wizzie That was my last dac and although a good thing, I would like something that actually colours the sound a little more in favour of sweetnes and that bloomy valve sound. Pleasant distortion I guess. I find some inexpensive systems can offer so much when well paired and for me a simple musical low cost system that makes nice noise is all I want. If a nad m51 came up cheap enough I would probably buy it but having just sold one and having a pretty good idea of what I am looking for I would not go looking for one. Cheers

I sent a PM. In truth the battery aspect, although good for sounds to my understanding, may be a little off the "simple" line I am trying to follow. Cheers
Full Range Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) The link at the bottom of the advert is my running review of the actual unit on sale I liked it so much that I purchased the same brand of the newer model Edited May 8, 2017 by Full Range
daro Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I think Rega DAC should fit your requirements. I own one for pretty much the same reasons. It has fuller midrange, and not so extended at the top in my opinion. There was one on classifieds a couple months ago. Not sure if still available:http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php?/topic/120606-FS:-Rega-DAC-(near-mint)CheersSent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
